Week 3 - hCG continued

The potential side effects of a restricted calorie diet and the use of hCG, such as DVT (deep vein thrombosis), hair loss and nausea make the program unsafe.

As with all weight loss programs, we recommend that you consult a physician to determine if the program is right for each client based on their health, medical history and personal weight loss needs. That is why a Nuviva physician will meet with and complete a full medical evaluation on each client before beginning the program to determine if the Nuviva program is appropriate. This assessment includes a medical history, full blood panel, an EKG and blood pressure testing. This is done not only to assess ones overall health and well–being, but also to evaluate whether the medications utilized as part of the program will be appropriate for each client.
There are certain medical issues that will disallow a client from using some or all of the program’s medications and/or hCG. An example would be women with a prior history of DVT, especially while receiving hCG for treatment of infertility. A woman with this medical condition would not be a candidate for the Nuviva program. Additionally, hair loss and nausea are signs of nutritional deficiency and should not occur on our program if done properly. Patients that experience these symptoms would have their calories increased or have their diet/supplements reviewed to make sure they are appropriate.

Week 2- hCG continued

Dr. Oz - hCG Weight Loss

Any program incorporating hCG loads your

body up with hormones

hCG is given in very small doses during third phase of the Nuviva program, the hCG diet phase. To put this into perspective women using hCG for medical purposes, such as fertility treatment, would inject between 50 and 100 times the dose that we prescribe through the Nuviva program.

Is hCG Weight Loss Right For You?

Is hCG Weight Loss Right For You?

Dr. Oz - hCG Weight Loss

Over the next few weeks we will be posting a new informative piece as we take a close look at the use of hCG for weight loss to shine some light on this topic.

The use of hCG for weight loss has recently become a hot topic of discussion in media outlets such as DR. OZ and Oprah. This topic accompanies many bold statements that can be fact or fiction. With many years and thousands of satisfied clients in the Medical Weight Loss Industry the Nuviva program has several components that have set us apart from the competition. The use of hCG has been one of the ingredients utilized in our recipe for weight loss success. Again, we will posting weekly responses to popular questions/ statements made regarding hCG.

hCG can’t be effective as it is just used to trick your body into thinking its pregnant.

This is a common misconception but not founded as men benefit just as much from hCG as women do while on the Nuviva program. The purpose of hCG is to:
  • mobilize stored fat for use as calories
  • to limit, as much as possible, the use of muscle as a source of calories while on restricted caloric intake.
